Magical Gun

Postby winchester101 on Sun Mar 01, 2009 9:42 pm

Had a brilliant day today, took my old 101 out for an airing, and it was one of those days when it seemed as if my shells were 'self seeking'.
Even when I didn't deserve to hit the clay, it mysteriously vanished in a cloud of grey smoke..

Realistically, it's unlikely to happen again for some time.. so judging by history, I'm probably destined to quite a few mediocre scores ahead until the next magical day..

Hey Filthy..
I bought a new 325 through the post when they first came out. I loved it, but it knocked the shit out of me, and even with a 'kick eeze' recoil pad fitted, it still kicked like a mule.
Years later, long after getting rid of it, an old photo of the said gun, revealed the grain on the stock was running upwards toward the heel.
Could that have been the culprit I ask myself ?

This made me laugh. On the few occasions that I shoot better than normal, I refer to this as having 'Magical Powers'
It's that confident, relaxed, unhurried feeling. Everything just falls into place. Bit like Neo in the last bit of the Matrix when he beats the crap out of Agent Smith!

Hey Cornholio...Is that the film where Neo gets lost and ends up in a fish tank in Australia, then saved by a Pelican..?

I shoot like that when hung over. Mainly as the only thing on my mind is not throwing up, shooting just goes back into auto pilot.
